As a purple belt, I would watch these matches on repeat trying to absorb Rafa’s movements. A few years later, I created this highlight. It was my hope that I could reach Jiu Jitsu’s newest class of lower belts and show them why Rafa Mendes is such a legendary figure in the sport.
